INNER PARTY BAMBOOZLE

I don't know if you read my last journal/blog about BAMBOOZLE this year, but if you did then you know why I'm extremely excited. If you didn't then let me refresh your memory.

So yeah, guess who's just added in the list:INNERPARTYSYSTEM!!!
I'm not sure if Bamboozle is reading my blog probably not, but if they are then one more from that list and I'm certainly going to ooober excited to go. So yeah I guess I should post my list again just in case you know.

TAKING BACK BAMBOOZLE

Ok, well I had been following the additions of the bands for this year’s Bamboozle line-up and well up until now I wasn’t convinced on defiantly going. Yeah I know NO DOUBT should be a big deal, but it’s just a benefit for me. Then of course there’s New Found Glory which is so far reason number 2 for me wanting to go, but it’s still “ehh” I can live without. Then there’s Bayside and can’t forget Cobra Starship, but this only means that Midtown is not playing. I’m not sure if I’m more excited or more disappointed at this point, but I guess I’ll see. I really wished for Midtown, but maybe my hopes and dreams of them coming back together are hopeless. PLEASE GABE JUST ONE MORE NIGHT!

Anyway my reason for this BLOG and my ubber excitement is TAKING BACK SUNDAY!!!! I haven’t seen them since Projekt Revolution two years ago. It’s been a while ADAM and I miss you. You rock my world.

It’s easier to dream it than to have it

Not to be EMO or anything, but every time it seems like I finally have my life in order it falls apart. It seems like the world is trying with all its might to keep me in this horrible state. A state when trying your hardest is never good enough.

I just got in the NURSING program in my college which is ultimately one of the hardest programs to get into. I’m proud of myself don’t get me wrong, but now that I’m in I feel like I need to shoot myself. I feel like since I’ve worked two hard years for this that I should be celebrating, but no I’m neurotic paranoid prissy who can’t keep herself together. They are giving me such a hard time running around getting papers here, appointment here, pay here, and jump off this building here. I’m tired of it, but I know that I just need struggle a little longer and it will be all worth it. I just don’t know how much of this I can take I’m stressed to the point where I might be hallucinating voices in my head. It’s hard now.

As if that’s not enough finally having sort of relationship with a guy I find decent is killing me. I can’t look at him in the eye and say yes I missed you to and you also rock my socks. I can’t stare into his eyes and say anything and I feel really bad about it especially if I know that I do all of those. It’s easier to dream it than to have it.

For the plus side some of the bands playing in Bamboozle 2009 have been announced. I can’t wait to see No doubt, New Found Glory and Bayside. I hope Saves The Day Plays or at least Two Tongues. I hope Men Women and Children play again and also maybe see Minus The Bear. I guess we will see what they have in store for us.

Guys I been anti music for a while actually just new music. I can’t seem to find a new band worth listening to recently. Yes it’s true I still have Saves The Day, Minus The Bear, Midtown, Starting Line and Less Than Jake on repeat on my playlist, but I have nothing new. I swear there was a good six months in my life where I decided the hell with it and try to enjoy some new bands from today. I bought albums and went to shows, but after a month or so of singing along to catchy tunes it was over. The hype was gone and I’m never in the mood play them again.

Guys I think James Brown is really dead (Shwayze).
Anyway if you guys want to break the pattern and let me know of any good bands worthy to listen to I’d love to try something new.

Chris You EMO

I'm a stalker of Saves The Day if you haven't already noticed.
Anyway I'm bored and well so I went to their website to find out
when their new album is coming out. Other than finding out it's
going (might) release December this year I continued reading the
Q&A portion of the site. So here was the question and Chris Conley's
answer.

Question: whats your favorite animals and why?????

Answer: i like elephants. they have been shown to have a high level of self-awareness, as they are one of only four known species to be able to recognize themselves in a mirror. the other three species are human, apes, and bottlenose dolphins. that's some good company. elephants are the funkiest though! elephants have true emotions. they have graveyards. elephants can remember their loved ones who pass away, and they have been known to exhibit signs of grief. i saw a discovery channel show about elephants a couple years ago, and they were saying that certain populations of elephants drink a naturally occurring fermented liquid which is secreted from a plant in their natural habitat. so, in other words, they drink off the pain sometimes. perhaps that's not their best trait, but it shows awareness of the pain of life, losing loved ones in this unbearable impermanent reality. and that means we're friends, both trying to keep our heads up in this gift of life, which is so very confusing sometimes. i love you, elephants!

amazing answer by the way, just a bit to depressing gosh now I have to actually
put more thoughts to my answer to that question next time someone asks me. I'd usually say dog because their cute and well loyal plus also that they can bite

Minus The Bear

Oh yeah I saw Minus The Bear.
They were really good live and I had tons of
fun it was in New York in Webster Hall and me
and my cousin drove all the way there. It was
pouring outside that night, but we still managed
to get there on time. Early actually we got there
for the opening act which we really didn't want
to see, but they were ok I guess.

Anyway I almost didn't get in because I forgot
my ID and you needed to be 16 I think to get in
the concert. I had to run back to the parking lot
which was pretty far from the hall. It was ok it
was so worth it. It was sold out and people were
trying to buy my ticket. I was like pshh I'd go back
to NJ to get my ID rather than buy off the Minus the
Bear concert.

The show was awesome and the light show was pretty
odd. Then again what should I expect from Minus The
Bear with flying marijuana plants on the walls. It
was pretty awesome. Anyway they didn't play my
favorite song from them which is Thanks For The
Killer Game of Crisco Twister. I was pretty upset
but it's ok it was still an amazing show. I love
that band. It was probably the only show I ever been
to without a bunch of twelve year old kids screaming
I want to fuck *insert lead singer* of some band. It
was a very mature environment and very chill and an
amazing vibe everyone swayed, sang, danced and passed
the weed around. Amazing show! I had fun on my first
non semi/emo music! Maybe I should go to more. Older
dudes are so hot. lol jk

a letter to myself

dear myself,

You know what sucks more than your life? You and the way you fucking live it. I’m tired of you crying about nothing and the way you complain about everything that your life isn’t. The way you say that you’re sick and tired of your routine life. How you’re always home and nothing exciting ever happens. The way you despise your friends because they will never understand why you’re so depressed. I’m so sick and tired of you. It’s not your life’s fault that you’re eating yourself fat and that all you ever want to do is sleep and dream about something that’s never going to come true. Stop hoping for a miracle that one day your life will ever change and become more than a low life community college student. Life is not a dream and it shouldn’t be based on one. Life is what television isn’t and what reality shows will never be. Life is what you make it, but it’s not when you make it. Get out live your life and screw everything around it. Live a little; smoke a blunt, fuck a whore. Stop complaining and do something to complain too. You say you’ll never have fun and that’s because you won’t let fun come to you. You say your friends are boring, but that’s only because you refuse to go out with them. You say love sucks and no one ever finds you attractive, but that’s only because you hate how you look and push everyone that disagrees. You’re a shallow son of a bitch who lives in a dream of fairy tales. Why don’t you fucking wake up and get your ass out of bed and when you do. not smarter just older

I been ridiculously occupied with school work and it sucks. I have been learning terms after terms after terms. Who know studying about abnormality in people is going to be so hard. You know what else suck Chemistry. I sort of bombed in high school so now I’m taking it again in college. As from what I remember it to be back in high school it’s as difficult in college. This sucks and you would have thought I’d get smarter through time. I just aged.

Anyway I can’t wait until the 25 going to see Minus the Bear and I can’t wait. I am pretty disappointed I’m going to miss Saves the Day on the 24th. My parents are leaving for vacation that day and well I think it would be nice of me to stay home that day with them before they leave for three weeks. My parents think I don’t care about them, but this show’s you I do. I’m missing Chris Conley for them.

Would anyone miss their favorite band live just to be nice to your parents and be there before they leave you for a three weeks?

The sad thing about being an A student is to fail the only class you can’t really study for. I thought it would be a blast to completely part away from my major and learn to play an instrument. Being a major groupie (joking) I thought it would be an awesome idea to learn how to play the guitar. I got myself a guitar and a couple of Guitar for Dummies book. Sadly it helps me with nothing except how to hold a guitar correctly and how to strum. It’s awesome right? I learned that from guitar heroes already. The book failed me, and my professor is an over achiever. It’s my third week of holding a guitar and he expects me and the rest of the class to play I Believe I Can Fly. Yeah fucking right! I’m completely screwed. I think I’m music illiterate. Oh Gosh Help Me!

PS: I been trying to get some of Chris Conley's guitar tabs online. I heard they were pretty simple, but I'm positive I'm not up to that level yet.
